Lower East Side Tenement Museum
We talked about taking the LES tenement museum tour for years. When we finally got around to taking it with some visiting friends, we had to kick ourselves for waiting so long. Having both lived in tenement apartments on the lower east side made it especially interesting for us.
Also if you take the tour, you should really stop by the il laboratorio del gelato. It's across the street from the museum bookstore and next to the tenement museum itself. Yum.
